“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”
Jiddu Krishnamurti
The Psychedelic (dis)integration group is a support group for people who have taken, or are preparing to take, psychedelics of any kind. We meet every Tuesday at 7:00pm eastern time via zoom, and the cost is $30 per meeting on a drop-in basis, no need to let us know ahead of time that you are coming. It is cofacilitated by me, Brian Murphy, and my good friend Dimitri Mugianis. If you are interested in joining, Contact me and I will sign you up for the weekly group notification, which goes out with my newsletter.
This is a place where you can share your psychedelic experiences, make meaning from them, make meaning of the you who had them, and see how they may inform what you want to do next in your life. We are not an “integration” group, because integration suggests that the experience gets rendered into the terms and conditions of normal consciousness, which in general is what got us into trouble in the first place. Disintegration says that the untamable should not be tamed and the ineffible should not get named. We want to leave such things just the way they are. If taking psychedelics is a disruptive act, the time that follows should be one where we disintegrate our comfortable assumptions and affiliations, and continue to question our previously held world view.
If you are preparing for a psychedelic experience, or simply curious, this forum can help you navigate issue like your intentions/expectations, your hopes, your fears and your questionings. Psychedelics have generated a good deal of press exposure and interest in the last few years, and with press exposure comes a lot of hype and many almost-true statements. Our group is a place where like minded people will share, give feedback, help you let off steam if you want it, and tell you what psychedelics have done, and not done, for them.
